NAB Lahore summons Dr Umar Saif in PBIT corruption case

Former Advisor to Punjab CM Shehbaz Sharif has been asked to appear before the anti-graft body on April 1

LAHORE- (Pakistan Point News- 27th March 2019) National Accountability Bureau has summoned Dr Umar Saif in connection with an investigation related to corruption and nepotism in Punjab Information Technology board (PBIT).

According to media reports, Dr Saif was summoned by NAB Lahore on April 1.

He is facing allegations of making appointments on key posts of his blue-eyed persons and corruption of millions of rupees in different projects while serving as VC of Information Technology University and PBIT chairman.

Dr Saif served as an advisor to Punjab CM during the tenure of Shehbaz Sharif and he resigned as VC ITU after PTI formed the government in Punjab.
