Millions of corruption alleged in PCESSDC

Corruption worth millions of rupees has been alleged in Pakistan Chemical and Energy Sector Skill Development Company (PCESSDC), sources said on Wednesday

Islamabad (Pakistan Point News / Online - 27th March, 2019) Corruption worth millions of rupees has been alleged in Pakistan Chemical and Energy Sector Skill Development Company (PCESSDC), sources said on Wednesday.The sources said that the company officials were allegedly involved in the corruption and corrupt practices. The officials, without taking into confidence to higher management of the company, allegedly released Rs130 million to some insurance companies of their choice.

They also released over Rs80 million to their favorite commercial banks and for this purpose they didn't consult the board of directors. More pertinent is that the banks managements have refused to return that money.The officials released Rs70 million to the company without PC-I. A higher level inquiry has been initiated in this connection. The contract was allotted to Sitara Company against the rules and is sheer violation. Later, the company was given additional Rs10 million.

According to the company protocol, the company management is responsible to informed the NAB authority before releasing over Rs30 million to any company but they didn't inform it before releasing funds to Sitara Company.As many as 200 students were supposed to get benefit from this grant but only 121 students could avail the facility and the officials transferred the rest of the money in their personal accounts.
