If the reports prove to be true, it will change the fate of Pakistan, he said.

Islamabad (Pakistan Point News – 26th March, 2019) Renowned journalist Sabir Shakir while revealing the details of the journalists’ meeting with Prime Minister Imran Khan said that large oil reserves have been found in drilling.

He said that the nation will hear a good news about this in two to three weeks. He said that these expected oil and gas reserves are expected to be the largest reserves in Asia.

If the reports prove to be true, it will change the fate of Pakistan, he said.

The journalist further said that these reserves will be sufficient for Pakistan for about a hundred years.

Prime Minister Imran Khan on Monday said that Asia's largest oil and gas reserves may soon be found in Arabian Sea near Karachi.

PM Imran Khan said that there had been positive indicators in the exploration process and added that they would give a good news to the nation within three weeks.

PM Imran asked the nation to pray for the success of the exploration efforts. He said that the expected oil and gas reserves could change the fortune of the country.

Earlier, Prime Minister Imran Khan, on March 11, had directed the local companies to expedite their exploration work in the oil and gas sectors.

Pakistan found signs of success in the ongoing oil and gas drilling in the deep sea. The details suggest that a kick pressure was felt during the ultra-deep drilling in Kekra-1 area of the Arabian Sea. The kick pressure means presence of huge gas reserves. It is anticipated that gas discovery will yield gas flows which can be bigger than Sui field.

Let it be known that 3000-meter drilling has been completed so far in the sea and will continue to over 4000 meters. Pakistan Petroleum (PPL), Oil & Gas Development Co (OGDCL), ENI and ExxonMobil are carrying out the drilling.
