Government has cancelled all tests taken from 1221 candidates through NTS against the vacant posts at Intelligence Bureau (IB)

ISLAMABAD (Pakistan Point News / Online - 26th March, 2019) Government has cancelled all tests taken from 1221 candidates through NTS against the vacant posts at Intelligence Bureau (IB).The affectees have given a call of dharna outside Parliament house for suspending the process of appointments after lapse of one and a half year and trampling the norms of merit. The affectees have said the PTI government has rendered jobless about 1221 educated youths who had appeared on merit list in connection with their appointment against the vacant posts in IB.

They said posts were advertised on August 6, 2017 in IB and test was held through NTS on October 14, 2017. Jobless youths from across the country participated in this test. The youths who qualified NTS test were called for test skill after they were shortlisted. Those who emerged successful from this test had to undergo Psychometric test and those who qualified this test were issued letters on August 11, 2017 for interview . Meanwhile PTI came into power and all the process was suspended all of a sudden.

In March 2019 IB authorities canceled this transparent process which was since the last one and a half year through SMS without assigning any reason. The affectees lamented that they participated in 3 hectic tests and emerged successful and later they were issued letters for interview. Now this all process has been cancelled and applications have been invited afresh against these vacancies which is murder of merit. They appealed to Prime Minister Imran Khan not to subject them to more exploitation and the orders for cancelling the previous recruitment process be withdrawn otherwise they will be forced to stage sit in different cities of all provinces and outside parliament besides knocking the door of the court.
