LANGKAWI (Malaysia) (Pakistan Point news / Sputnik - 26th March, 2019) Indonesia plans to purchase Russia's BT-3F amphibious infantry fighting vehicles, Mikhail Petukhov, deputy director of Russia's Federal Service for Military-Technical Cooperation (FSMTC), told Sputnik on Tuesday.
"Marine units of the Indonesian Navy have extensive experience in the operation of floating infantry fighting vehicles BMP-3F, and plan to purchase BT-3F [vehicles], which are based on them. Contract negotiations are not over yet, so it is premature to talk about the parameters of the agreement," Petukhov told reporters during the arms exhibition LIMA-2019.
