LANGKAWI (Malaysia) (Pakistan Point news / Sputnik - 26th March, 2019) Malaysia is interested in buying Russian air defense systems, in particular, in the medium-range complex Buk, Viktor Kladov, the director of international cooperation and regional policy at the Russian state-owned corporation Rostec, told Sputnik on Wednesday.
"We have previously delivered the man-portable air defense system Igla to [Malaysia]. They have also showed interest in the medium-range missile system Buk. As usual, we offer good value for money. Moreover, these weapons have proved effective in the combat conditions," Kladov said on the sidelines of the LIMA-2019 expo.
