BEIRUT (Pakistan Point News / Sputnik - 25th March, 2019) Militants shelled the southwestern outskirts of the Syrian city of Aleppo on Monday, the Syrian State Television reported, providing no information about the casualties.According to the broadcaster, citing own correspondent, the terrorists used firearms and mortars to attack the Halab al-Jadida neighborhood, New Aleppo.
Although fighting in Syria has significantly subsided compared to the first years of the armed conflict, remaining militants continue to attack settlements in some areas, including Aleppo, which was liberated from terrorists in 2016.
Groups of armed militants hiding in the western parts of the city regularly shell Aleppo's residential neighborhoods with improvised rockets and mortars. Last week, two children were killed when militants opened fire on a school bus in al-Zahraa neighborhood of Aleppo.
