Kremlin Says Any Commemorations of WWII Anniversary Incomplete Without Moscow

MOSCOW (Pakistan Point News / Sputnik - 25th March, 2019) The Kremlin negatively assesses the fact that Poland has not invited Moscow to participate in the events marking the 80th anniversary of the beginning of the WWII, Kremlin Spokesman Dmitry Peskov said Monday.

Warsaw has explained the absence of the invitation by the USSR violating the international law back in 1939.

"[We assess it] negatively. Any commemorations devoted to the anniversary of the Great Patriotic War and the World War II and cannot be considered complete without the participation of our country," Peskov said commenting on the absence of the invitation from Warsaw.
