At least six Levies personnel were martyred and several others injured in an attack on a check post in Lal Khattai area in Sanjwani, Baluchistan
Quetta (Pakistan Point News / Online - 20th March, 2019) At least six Levies personnel were martyred and several others injured in an attack on a check post in Lal Khattai area in Sanjwani, Baluchistan.According to details, unidentified persons opened indiscriminate fire on the Levies check post injuring many personnel. Later, the injured were taken to nearby hospital and many of them are stated to be in critical condition.After the attack, Levies and Frontier Constabulary contingents reached the scene and cordoned off the area.
A search operation was also underway to look for the perpetrators.Collective funeral prayers were offered for the martyred security officials. Faqeer Muhammad, Muhammad Usman, Aftabuddin, Abdul Hakeem, Abdul Shakoor and Dad Muhammad are identified as martyred of the attack.Deputy Commissioner Qadir Bakhtakani confirmed that six personnel were martyred in the attack and that the check post was attacked in the dead of the night.' Baluchistan Chief Minsiter Jam Kamal strongly condemned the attack and reaffirmed his commitment to bring the perpetrators to justice.
