The Amboli police have arrested a 32 year-old man who allegedly stalked producer Ekta Kapoor for over 30 times in the recent months
Mumbai (Pakistan Point News / Online - 20th March, 2019) The Amboli police have arrested a 32 year-old man who allegedly stalked producer Ekta Kapoor for over 30 times in the recent months. The accused idenfied as Sudhir Rajender Singh who is said to be a resident of Haryana wanted to meet Kapoor to get a job and also to be her friend.Singh, who is a driver working with a private cab service provider, was trying to meet Kapoor since past one month.
Despite the fact that Ekta Kapoor tried to ignore him most of the time, he consistently followed her across the city. "Few days back, when Ekta had gone to visit a temple in Juhu, Singh followed her there also and tried to approach her but was caught by her personal guards and he was warned to stay away from her, " said a police officer.According to the police, Singh also took membership in the same gym in Andheri west where Kapoor used to go.
He was also spotted near the the gym frequently while Kapoor was working out inside. On Saturday evening, when Kapoor went to the gym, Singh followed her and tried to sneak inside but he was again stopped by the guards. Singh was later arrested on Monday night after a complaint of stalking was lodged against him."We have registered the complaint under section 354 (D) of the Indian Penal Code and with the help of CCTV and some technical evidences the accused was traced from Andheri west Veera Desai road. The case is under investigation," added the officer. The police is also checking how Singh got the details of Kapoor's specific locations all the time.
