Islamabad (Pakistan Point News – 19th March, 2019) The old woman whose emotional plea went viral has refused to take Prime Minister Imran Khan’s offer who took notice of the video.
Media reports said that Naseem Begum wants to remain loyal to her husband even after his death and this is why she is not ready to move from the woods where she is staying.
Her husband Tahir Khan had passed away five years ago but Naseem Begum said that even her partner’s death could not take away her loyalty to him.
In the video that went viral, the woman had requested the prime minister to provide her a house as she has no other option left, after her husband passed away, than to live in the woods.
Due to severe poverty the woman spends her days and nights under the open skies, in the outskirts of Islamabad, near the Bhara Kahu valley.
Taking notice upon the viral video, Prime Minister Imran Khan had assured her of immediate help.
Media reports said that the prime minister spoke to the woman on video call.
PM Imran said that he felt very sad to watch her video. “We won’t let you be in pain,” the prime minister said.
The woman however refused to stay in a shelter home and demanded that she be provided a shelter in the same forest as her husband is buried there.
The prime minister then directed to facilitate the woman as per her wishes.
