MOSCOW (Pakistan Point News / Sputnik - 13th March, 2019) Russia's Evrofinance Mosnarbank said Wednesday it had to stop Dollar transactions starting Monday because of US sanctions linked to Venezuela.
The Office of Foreign Assets Control (OFAC) of the US Treasury Department said Monday it was sanctioning the Moscow-based bank over alleged assistance to Venezuela's state-owned oil company PDVSA.
"We are informing you that due to Evrofinance Mosnarbank's inclusion in the OFAC list the bank does not make transactions in Dollars starting from March 11, 2019," the bank said in a statement.
