NICL  CASE: Supreme Court (SC) orders for arresting accused Mohsin Habib within two weeks

Supreme Court (SC) has issued orders for arresting Mohsin Habib, major accused in NICL case within two weeks.A 3-member bench of SC presided over by Justice Gulzar Ahmad took up the case for hearing Wednesday

ISLAMABAD (Pakistan Point News / Online - 13th March, 2019) Supreme Court (SC) has issued orders for arresting Mohsin Habib, major accused in NICL case within two weeks.A 3-member bench of SC presided over by Justice Gulzar Ahmad took up the case for hearing Wednesday.During the course of hearing of the case the court expressed displeasure over non arresting the accused Mohsin Habib.Justice Gulzar Ahmad remarked Mohsin Habib has appeared before NAB.

NAB served him tea and biscuit and then sent him back while SC had ordered to arrest the accused.Justice Ijaz ul Ahsan remarked Mohsin Habib had fled despite his name being placed in ECL.Justice Gulzar Ahmad remarked " there is what guarantee now that he will not flee.Prosecutor General NAB said in the court he would obtain record of departure of Mohsin Habib from concerned authorities.Justice Ijaz ul Ahsan replied extempore that there is no record of fleeing in a boat.

Prosecutor General NAB said Mohsin Habib sold out his land at higher rate through nexus. The second major accused Ayyaz Niazi has been awarded sentence. Recovery of Rs 4.40 million has yet to be made from Ayyaz Niazi.The court ordered that Mohsin Habib had not appeared despite being summoned and his counsel had sent application seeking adjournment of the case. Mohsin Habib be arrested within two weeks and report thereof be filed in the court.The court adjourned the hearing of the case for two weeks.
