Karachi (Pakistan Point News – 12th March, 2019) Pakistan’s tea has got global recognition after Indian pilot Abhinandan Varthaman liked the tea given to him by Pakistani soldiers during detention.
In a video released after his detention, the Indian Air Force pilot had complimented the tea, saying, “The tea is fantastic, thank you.”
The statement of the Indian pilot had gone viral as Pakistanis are very proud of their tea.
However, the tea has now become a marketing gimmick as a tea stall put up a poster of Abhinandan having a cup of tea.
The poster of Khan tea stall features the tagline ‘Aisi chaye k dushman ko bhi dost banaye’ (A tea that would turn an enemy into friend).
People liked the idea as the tea stall would definitely be able to grab more customers.
Abhinandan was flying an MiG 21 Bison jet that was shot down by PAF on February 27 with the pilot taken into custody. It was only after the incident that Abhinandan was taken into Pakistan’s custody and had the chance to have our tea.
Prime Minister Imran Khan had announced to release detained Indian pilot Abhinandan Varthaman on March 1.
