WASHINGTON (Pakistan Point News / Sputnik - 12th March, 2019) Jacobs Technology has received a more than $38 million US Army contract to test the interaction of various chemical and biological substances, the Department of Defense announced in a press release.
"Jacobs Technology [of] Fort Walton Beach, Florida, was awarded a $38,253,942 cost-plus-fixed-fee contract for testing for evaluation of various interactions of chemical and biological agents," the release stated on Monday. "Work will be performed in Dugway Proving Ground, Utah."
Dugway Proving Ground's Primary mission is testing US and allied chemical and biological defense systems and performing nuclear, biological and chemical survivability testing of defense materiel using chemical and biological agents and stimulants, according to the Defense Department.
Jacobs Technology's facility in Tampa, Florida also received on Monday a separate $785 million US Army contract for instructors. The purpose of the instruction topics was not stated and the contract has an estimated completion date of March 14, 2026, the Defense Department said.
