MOSCOW (Pakistan Point News / Sputnik - 11th March, 2019) Spanish football club Real Madrid may announce later on Monday the return of French legend Zinedine Zidane to the post of the first team's head coach, media reported.
On Monday evening, the club's board of directors will hold a meeting, following which incumbent head coach Santiago Solari will be dismissed from his post with Zidane replacing him, according to the tv show Jugones of La Sexta broadcaster.
Zidane resigned from coaching Real Madrid after the end of the 2017/18 season. He led the club to three consecutive victories in the UEFA Champions League.
In La Liga, Real is third after 27 matches, 12 points behind leading Barcelona. Last week, the club was eliminated from the Champions League after 1-4 home loss against Dutch opponent Ajax.
