Russia's Sberbank Confirms Its 2 Employees Were on Board of Crashed Ethiopian Boeing

Russia's Sberbank confirmed Monday that two of its employees had been victims of the Ethiopian Airlines' Boeing 737 crash

MOSCOW (Pakistan Point News / Sputnik - 11th March, 2019) Russia's Sberbank confirmed Monday that two of its employees had been victims of the Ethiopian Airlines' Boeing 737 crash.

The jet following the ET302 route crashed early Sunday, minutes after taking off from the Ethiopian capital of Addis Ababa for Nairobi. All 157 people from over 30 countries who were on board the Boeing were killed. The causes of the accident are yet unknown. According to the airline, the plane was well-maintained.

"Sberbank confirms the deaths of its two staff members, spouses Ekaterina and Alexander Polyakov, who were on board of the plane crashed in Ethiopia ... Ekaterina and Alexander went to Africa for a vacation that ended so tragically," the bank said.

Sberbank also extended its condolences to the families of all the victims.
