Russia Records 17 Ceasefire Violations In Syria Over 24 Hours - Russian Military

MOSCOW (Pakistan Point News / Sputnik - 10th March, 2019) The Russian Center for Reconciliation in Syria said Saturday that over the past 24 hours, it registered at least 17 ceasefire breaches in Syria's Idlib de-escalation zone.

"Over the past day, terrorists attacked Safsafa, Aki Bair, Kinsiba and Kermel (two times) in Latakia province, Achan, Tell Bizam and al-Hudar Mar Zliya in Hama province, Vrede, Nic and al-Buraidj in Aleppo province, al-Salahiyah, al-Wasita, Sukkary, Abu Omar, Niha and al-Fhail in Idlib province," head of the center Col. Gen. Viktor Kupchishin said.

He added that five houses and one health facility had been repaired over the past day.

Syria has been in a state of civil war since 2011, with the government forces fighting against numerous opposition groups and militant and terrorist organizations. Russia, along with Turkey and Iran, is a guarantor of the ceasefire regime in Syria. Moscow has also been providing humanitarian aid to residents of the crisis-torn country.
