Driver of online taxi service murdered in Karachi

Police said that the firing incident took place in Defence Phase 1 early morning.

Karachi (Pakistan Point News – 9th March, 2019) A driver of online taxi service was killed in Karachi on Saturday.

According to details, some unidentified miscreants opened fire at a car in Defence area of Karachi, killing the driver of online taxi service on the spot.

Police said that the firing incident took place in Defence Phase 1 early morning.

The slain has been identified as Saleem Taheem. Saleem belonged to Sanghar and was working as a driver at an online taxi service.

The Defence Housing Authority (DHA) officials called the police at 6:45am and told that the dead body has been found from Dukhataran Public school.

SP Clifton said that slain Saleem Taheem received two bullets. Police said that the murder does not look like a robbery incident as the wallet, cash worth Rs 5000 and two mobile phones were present in the car.

Police said that the dead body has been taken into custody and they are investigating on all aspects of the murder.
