Imran Khan reiterates his stance on U-Turn

A leader can’t be a leader without taking political u-turn according to the situation

LAHORE- (Pakistan Point News – 8th March 2019) Prime Minister Imran Khan has reiterated his stance on U-Turn, saying a leader cannot be a leader without taking political turns.

The outspoken PM of Pakistan, who faced criticism from opposition parties in the past over his U-turn statement, repeated his stand during a mass rally in Tharparkar district of Sindh.

“A leader has to take U-turns according to a situation. Sometimes you have to change your position considering the circumstances,” Khan told the cheering crowd.

The prime minister was in Chhachhro area of Tharparkar to announce a health package for people of the backward district. He said Insaf Health Cards will be provided to as many as 112,000 families of the district enabling them free media facilities.

He also announced to establish two modern mobile hospitals in the area and provide four ambulances for the region.

Khan was accompanied by Foreign Minister Shah Mehmood Qureshi and former Sindh chief minister Dr. Arbab Ghulam Rahim at the rally. Both politicians enjoy large support in the area. Qureshi always contested election from the district as he has the support of thousands of his muredain (followers) in Sindh’s district.

It was Prime Minister’s first public rally after coming into power. He said he chose the area because it was most backward and hence needed special care of the government.

Imran Khan also criticized PPP Chairman Bilawal Bhutto on his speech in National Assembly. Khan justified the response of his finance minister to the PPP chairman.
