Javed Miandad, Abdul Qadir, and Khalid Mahmood say Indian team attitude unprofessional, against the spirit of the game
LAHORE- (Pakistan Point News – 8th March 2019)
Information Minister Fawad Hussain Chaudhry and leading Pakistani cricketers have criticized the Kohli eleven on wearing Indian army caps before a match against Australia.
They asked Pakistan Cricket board to raise the issue with International Cricket Council and sought an explanation on the highly irresponsible and unprofessional act of Indian cricket team.
“It’s just not Cricket”, I hope ICC ll take action for politicizing Gentleman’s game ... if Indian Cricket team ll not be stopped, Pak Cricket team should wear black bands to remind The World about Indian atrocities in Kashmir... I urge #PCB to lodge a formal protest,” tweeted Information Minister Fawad.
To record a protest against Indian act, said the minister, the Pakistani players will wear black ribbons on their wrists in the next international match.
PCB former chairman Khalid Mahmood, legend batsman Javed Miandad and famous leg spinner Abdul Qadir came down hard on Indian cricket team and management for bringing politics and war hysteria into the game.
Indian players wore special Army caps as “tributes” to the armed forces before the start of the third ODI against Australia in Ranchi on Friday.
The players were seen being presented with the cap by former India captain MS Dhoni.
The act is being seen against the spirit of the game. Khalid Mahmood while talking to a local tv asked PCB to raise the issue with International Cricket Council.
“The PCB must approach the ICC against Indian Board act of introducing politics and creating war hysteria in the game,” said the former chairman. Qadir and Miandad also condemned the India cricket management and their players on wearing the army caps.

“This is unprofessional and violation of cricket rules,” said both the players.
It is, however, unclear so far that whether the Pakistan Cricket Board will raise the issue with the ICC or not.

Earlier, Indian players saluted their IAF for what they call bombing the terror camps in Balakot.
However, independent media exposed the Indian claims of bombing any camp in AJK with proofs.
