PML-N President and Opposition Leader in National Assembly Shehbaz Sharif has met his brother Nawaz Sharif in Kot Lakhpat Jail
LAHORE (Pakistan Point News - 06th March, 2019) -PML-N President and Opposition Leader in National Assembly Shehbaz Sharif has met his brother Nawaz Sharif in Kot Lakhpat Jail. Younger Sharif went to jail along with Maryam Nawaz, the daughter of elder Sharif, his mother Shamim Akhtar and Hamza Shehbaz, Opposition Leader in Punjab Assembly. The purpose of the meeting, reportedly, was to pursue the former three time prime minister for treatment. Family members asked him to shift to hospital from jail.
But, Nawaz refused to go to hospital ‘owing to insulting attitude of the government.’ “I won’t beg for my treatment from the government,” Nawaz was quoted by local TVs telling his family members. He said the government was doing politics on his health. Shehbaz also expressed dissatisfaction over the government attitude regarding Nawaz treatment. Some PML-N leaders said the PTI government will responsible if something happened to Nawaz.
Former PM Tuesday refused to shift to hospital from jail for medical checkup despite Punjab government offers. There are reports that PML-N supremo is facing medical complications and his health condition is continuously deteriorating. His daughter Maryam Nawaz, claimed on Tuesday morning that her father experienced five episodes of angina over the past week, and that the PTI-led government's "callousness" towards his health is putting at risk his health and life.
