ISLAMABAD (Pakistan Point News / NNI - 06th March, 2019) Minister of State for Interior Shehryar Afridi on Wednesday took to Twitter to reiterate the Federal government's stance concerning the objectives the National Action Plan (NAP) and asserted that the operation against proscribed organisations will continue."Operation against proscribed organisations as per National Action Plan 2014 (NAP) shall continue till achievement of objectives. Efforts to accelerate progress on complete NAP are being pursued," he tweeted.

Following directives, the Islamabad Capital Territory (ICT) administration has taken administrative control over several seminaries and mosques, and replaced their administrators and prayer leaders, respectively.Prayer leaders from the Auqaf Department have been appointed to take over the control of mosques.The crackdown by the law enforcement agencies against banned outfits and other effective measures came into effect following a high-level meeting by the government amid efforts to defuse the simmering tensions between Pakistan and India.

Moreover, two welfare dispensaries and a seminary on Chakra Road and the Abu Bakr Hospital in Rawalpindi have been sealed.On Tuesday, the federal government took as many as 44 members affiliated with proscribed organisations, including Jaish-e-Mohammad chief Masood Azhar's brother, Mufti Abdul Rauf, and son, Hammad Azhar, into "preventive detention" under NAP.
