“India home to world most polluted cities but Modi wants war”

Twenty-two of the world’s 30 worst cities for air pollution are in India, states a fresh report issued by world known NGO Greenpeace

LAHORE (Pakistan Point News - 05th March, 2019) -Twenty-two of the world’s 30 worst cities for air pollution are in India, states a fresh report issued by world known NGO Greenpeace. The report comes at a time when Indian PM Modi’s warmongering has threatened the peace in the region. “Indian PM is completely ignorant about the problems of the millions of poor who could not even breath in fresh air,” reacted some Indian analysts after release of the report on international media.

A citizen wrote on social media that Modi was least worried about pollution but he wanted war. The Greenpeace and Airvisual ranked Delhi in world’s most polluted capital. The report was based on analysis of air pollution readings from 3,000 cities around the world and found that 64% exceed the World Health Organization’s annual exposure guideline for PM2.5 fine particulate matter – tiny airborne particles, about a 40th of the width of a human hair, that are linked to a wide range of health problems.

The report revealed India still hosts 15 out of 20 most polluted cities in the world with Gurugram and Ghaziabad being the most polluted cities in the world followed by Faridabad, Bhiwadi and Noida being in top six with Delhi on the 11th spot. "Multiple databases on air quality including recent report Airpocalypse-III by Greenpeace India have reminded us of how air pollution is impacting our daily lives in India," said the report.
