MOSCOW (Pakistan Point News / Sputnik - 27th February, 2019) Russian President Vladimir Putin expressed his condolences on Wednesday in connection with a major fire at the Ramses railway station in the center of Cairo that killed dozens of people, according to a statement posted on Kremlin's website.At least 28 people were killed and over 50 other were injured earlier on Wednesday when a train derailed and crashed into a platform at the Ramses station. The crash caused the explosion of a fuel tank. Subsequent fire spread over the train and the platform.
"Accept deep condolences on the occasion of the tragic consequences of the train crash that occurred at the central railway station in Cairo. Russia shares the grief of those who lost their loved ones as a result of this incident, and hopes for a speedy recovery of all the injured," the statement said.
