US President Donald Trump and North Korean Chairman Kim Jong Un will kick off their second summit in the Vietnamese capital of Hanoi on Wednesday with 20-minute one-on-one talks followed by a social dinner, the White House said in a press release on Tuesday
WASHINGTON (Pakistan Point News / Sputnik - 26th February, 2019) US President Donald Trump and North Korean Chairman Kim Jong Un will kick off their second summit in the Vietnamese capital of Hanoi on Wednesday with 20-minute one-on-one talks followed by a social dinner, the White House said in a press release on Tuesday."The President participates in a 1:1 conversation with the Chairman of the State Affairs Commission of the Democratic People's Republic of Korea," the release said.
After the private talks, both leaders will participate in a social dinner that will last about an hour and a half, according to the White House schedule.
Trump's plane, Air Force One, landed at the Noi Bai International Airport in Hanoi at almost 9:00 p.m. local time.
The meeting in Vietnam will be the second summit between Trump and Kim after historic talks in Singapore last June. At their previous summit, the two leaders pledged to make efforts to denuclearize the Korean peninsula.
This time, The US and North Korean leaders are expected to discuss concrete steps toward removing nuclear weapons from the peninsula.
