NEW DELHI (Pakistan Point News / Sputnik - 26th February, 2019) Pakistani Foreign Minister Shah Mehmood Qureshi said that the country's army was fully ready to respond to any military aggression after the Indian Air Force carried out an airstrike on the so-called Line of Control (LoC) separating the Indian- and Pakistani-controlled parts of the disputed Jammu and Kashmir region.

Earlier in the day, Spokesperson for the Pakistan Armed Forces Maj. Gen. Asif Ghafoor said that Indian aircraft had violated the LoC and crossed into the Pakistani territory but soon turned back after a response from the Pakistani Air Force. According to Indian Minister of Agriculture Gajendra Singh Shekhawat, the Indian Air Force had carried out an airstrike on terror camps across the LoC. The Indian Defense Ministry has not made any official statements regarding the situation yet.

"Nation should not be worried over the Indian act as the defenders of the country are fully prepared to respond to any misadventure. Pakistan knows how to defend itself," the minister said, as cited by Geo tv.
