North Korean Leader Kim Arrives In Vietnam For 2nd Summit With Trump - Reports

TOKYO (Pakistan Point News / Sputnik - 26th February, 2019) North Korean leader Kim Jong Un arrived on Tuesday morning in Vietnam ahead of his second two-day summit with US President Donald Trump, slated to start in Hanoi on Wednesday, South Korean media reported.

After arriving by armored train at a station close to the Chinese border at 8:10 a.m. local time (01:10 GMT), Kim continued his way to the Vietnamese capital in a black limousine, the Yonhap news Agency reported.

The first summit between Trump and Kim took place in Singapore last June. During the meeting, Kim pledged to make efforts to denuclearize the peninsula in exchange for security guarantees for North Korea and the suspension of US-South Korean military drills. However, no concrete steps have been made in this direction by either party.
