Karachi medical student killed in police encounter with robbers

Media reports said that the medical student and a robber were killed in the police firing in North Karachi’s Anda Morr road area.

Karachi (Pakistan Point News – 23rd February, 2019) A medical student was killed in an alleged police encounter in Karachi.

Media reports said that the medical student and a robber were killed in the police firing in North Karachi’s Anda Morr road area.

SHO Sir Syed Town Ilyas Shah said that the area of the police encounter comes under his jurisdiction. However, the encounter happened between Noor Jahan police and the robbers.

A 25-year-old robber identified as Riaz ud din, son of Abdul Malik was killed in the encounter. The robber is being given treatment.

The passerby girl, identified as 20-year-old Nimra, was also injured in the police encounter.

The girl was shifted to hospital for treatment where she succumbed to injuries.

Nimra was a resident of North Karachi’s Sector D2. She was studying medical at Dow university of health sciences.
