VIENNA (Pakistan Point News / Sputnik - 22nd February, 2019) Russia has invited the Organization for Security and Co-operation in Europe's (OSCE) Parliamentary Assembly to send a mission to Crimea as soon as possible, Leonid Slutsky, a Russian delegate to the OSCE PA, said on Friday.
"We've just had a meeting with the [Assembly's] second committee on humanitarian issues led by Ms Margareta Kiener Nellen. We talked about the need for a committee visit to Ukraine's southeast and to Crimea where they can learn the facts, instead of relying on vague reports by Western media for conclusions. This will play a major role in preparing a report for the OSCE [annual July] session in Luxembourg," he told reporters.
"We asked them clearly to come as soon as possible to include their firsthand experience in the report," the Russian lawmaker added.
