BERLIN (Pakistan Point News / Sputnik - 21st February, 2019) The Nord Stream 2 project will contribute to stability of gas deliveries to Europe amid lower supplies from Norway and the United Kingdom and increased gas demand, German Economy and Energy Minister Peter Altmaier said at the conference Competitive Russia - New Paths.
"This project has been approved by four out of five countries and largely implemented. It will contribute to the stabilization of gas supply to Europe amid decreasing gas imports from Norway and the United Kingdom and growing gas demand in Germany, in Western Europe due to abandoning of coal and nuclear power," the minister said.
