The top diplomat of the Eastern African nation arrived in Russia on Tuesday for a three-day working visit aimed at strengthening friendly ties between the two countries.
This year marks the 55th anniversary of the two nations' diplomatic relations. Steps to advance them will be the focus of Wednesday's meeting.
The diplomats will discuss agricultural cooperation, including exports of Russian equipment, and Russia's plans to build a nuclear research center near the capital Lusaka.
On the foreign policy, Russia will reaffirm its commitment to work with Zambia in the United Nations, take on common challenges and threats together, and push for Africa's sustainable development.
