MOSCOW (Pakistan Point News / Sputnik - 15th February, 2019) Kremlin Spokesman Dmitry Peskov called on Friday for caution in relation to media reports that may give grounds to believe that the new US bill on anti-Russian sanctions showed a milder position on restrictions.
On Thursday, Bloomberg reported that the new US bill envisioning a new round of sanctions on Russia's banking and energy sector did not have a specific list of targeted Russian banks, while prospective restrictions on Russia's sovereign debt would deal exclusively with new issuance.
"Let's not be fooled... As for the softened position, you understand that we are talking about US lawmakers who may not understand all the nuances," the spokesman said.
