WASHINGTON (Pakistan Point News / Sputnik - 13th February, 2019) The United States is not discussing an interest section in Venezuela because it does not recognize the government, US Special Representative for Venezuela Elliott Abrams told the US House of Representatives Foreign Affairs Committee on Wednesday."We are not negotiating an interest section," Abrams said. "An interest section is used in the case where there is a government and we do not recognize that government. But in Venezuela there is a government we do recognize, which is [self-proclaimed interim President Juan] Guiado's government."
