Finnish Foreign Minister Timo Soini expects to discuss the situation in the Council of Europe, regional security issues and arms control during a visit to Moscow on February 12, the Finnish Foreign Ministry said Thursday.
HELSINKI (Pakistan Point News / Sputnik - 07th February, 2019) Finnish Foreign Minister Timo Soini expects to discuss the situation in the Council of Europe, regional security issues and arms control during a visit to Moscow on February 12, the Finnish Foreign Ministry said Thursday.
"On Tuesday, February 12, Foreign Minister Timo Soini will visit Moscow and meet with Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov. Topics for the meeting will include regional security events in Northern Europe, the situation in Ukraine, urgent issues of arms control and the Council of Europe, where Finland currently chairs the Committee of Ministers," the statement said.
The ministers are also expected to discuss bilateral issues between Finland and Russia and regional cooperation in the Arctic Council.
