Ever wondered why meat is not sold on Tuesday and Wednesday? Here’s why

The meat sellers get lesser livelihood and so they demand the government to end this restriction or limit it to one day only

Islamabad (Pakistan Point News – 7th February, 2019) Meat is usually not sold on Tuesday and Wednesday in Pakistan.

Have you ever wondered why that is so?

Well according to a report, the number of goats and cows was limited in the past and there was no trend of dairy farming.

However, butchers today are not happy with this tradition.

They say that taking Tuesdays and Wednesdays off affects their sale. Contrary to this, chicken meat is available all seven days of a week and chicken sellers eventually earn more than them.

The meat sellers get lesser livelihood and so they demand the government to end this restriction or limit it to one day only. In this way, the butchers will not have to face a loss.

Moreover, citizens also want mutton and beef to available all seven days of a week and demand the government to reconsider the decision.
