The law enforcement agencies have been directed to make strict security arrangements in the province.
Lahore (Pakistan Point News – 30th January, 2019) Punjab has been put on high alert in view of the security threat of a terrorist attack.
According to media reports, the Punjab Interior Department has directed the Punjab Police, Special Branch and Counter Terrorism Department (CTD) to upgrade the security matters on daily basis and beef up security in the province.
The law enforcement agencies have been directed to make strict security arrangements in the province.
The directives said that the visitors coming to government offices should be allowed to enter after checking their CNICs. The law enforcement personnel have been directed to implement the SOPs.
Issuing the orders to put security on high alert, the Punjab IG said that that fool proof security arrangements should be made for sensitive places, including government buildings, police training colleges, police lines, schools, parks, markets, railway stations and terminals.
The Punjab IG has directed to increase security checking at the entry and exit points of the province.
The threat alert has been issued in view of the terrorist attack in Loralai on Tuesday.
