MOSCOW (Pakistan Point News / Sputnik - 26th January, 2019) An explosion has occurred at a volleyball court in Afghanistan's northern province of Baghlan, killing four people and injuring 20, local media reported on Saturday, citing authorities.

The blast took place late on Friday in the province's Tala Wa Barfak district, located in the area, controlled by the Taliban militants, the district's Chief Abdul Ahad Barfaki told the Pajhwok news agency.

No organization has claimed responsibility for the attack yet, according to the agency.

At the same time, the 1TVnews broadcaster reported, citing the Afghan National Army's 209th Corps, that the four victims had been the members of Taliban, including one of the militant commanders in the area, while six civilians and five militants have been injured.

Afghanistan is suffering from an unstable political, social and security situation due to the activity of the Taliban movement and the Islamic State terrorist group (banned in Russia). The Afghan National Defense and Security Forces are currently conducting joint offensive operations to combat terrorism across the country.
