Ex-Trump Campaign Adviser Roger Stone's Arraignment Set For January 29 - Court Filing

WASHINGTON (Pakistan Point News / Sputnik - 26th January, 2019) Former Trump campaign adviser Roger Stone's arraignment has been set for January 29 at the US District Court in Washington, DC, a court filing revealed.

"Set Hearings as to ROGER JASON STONE, JR: ARRAIGNMENT scheduled for 11:00 a.m. on Tuesday, January 29, 2019 in Courtroom 4 before Magistrate Judge Deborah A. Robinson," the document said on Friday.

Earlier in the day, Stone was arrested in the US state of Florida and charged for making false statements related to the alleged hacking of the Democratic Party's networks during the 2016 election.

Special Counsel Robert Mueller is investigating allegations of Trump-Russia collusion and Russian meddling in the 2016 US election.

President Donald Trump has characterized the Russia probe as a political witch hunt that has not produced any evidence of collusion in two years.

Russian officials have repeatedly denied meddling in the US election and said the allegations were made up to justify the electoral loss of a political candidate as well as deflect public attention from actual instances of election fraud and corruption.
