Lahore (Pakistan Point News – 19th January, 2018) Justice Asif Saeed Khan Khosa has taken oath as 26th Chief Justice of Pakistan after his predecessor Justice Mian Saqib Nisar completed his stint on January 17.
Several analysts and legal experts are now commenting over the performance of former CJP Saqib Nisar.
Speaking about this in a tv show, Barrister Shoaib Razzaq said that Justice (r) Saqib Nisar did great work as a lawyer but he failed as a CJP.
“After becoming the CJP, he started doing other stuff instead of concluding the cases,” he said.
The barrister said that Justice (r) Nisar miserably failed as the CJP. His failure can be judged from the fact that Justice Asif Saeed Khosa cleared many things about himself in the full court reference given to honour Justice (r) Nisar before taking oath as the new CJP, he added.
He said that CJP Khosa mentioned several problems in judiciary.
The barrister added, “We are only hungry for power. We think of ourselves as kings. This power gets to our head.”
