MOSCOW (Pakistan Point News / Sputnik - 16th January, 2019) Russian President Vladimir Putin has suggested that EU countries should seek guarantees from Brussels that it would not try to subvert the TurkStream pipeline to sell Russian natural gas to Europe.
"Regard will be given to the European Commission's position when mapping out the pipeline route. We think that EU member states interested in Russian gas imports should obtain EU guarantees that plans to extend the TurkStream [into EU] would not be subject to arbitrary and politicized decisions by Brussels," Putin said in an interview with Serbian newspapers.
