MOSCOW (Pakistan Point News / Sputnik - 11th January, 2019) Ukraine will have to pay off an equivalent of $14.2 billion in internal and foreign debt and its service costs in 2019, the Finance Ministry said in a statement on Friday."In 2019, [the country] needs to pay off 150.5 billion hryvnias in internal debt and 121.8 billion hryvnias in external debt. Further 88.7 billion hryvnias will be required to service internal debt and 56.4 billion - for external debt," the ministry said.�
Deputy Finance Minister Sergiy Verlanov said last month that a third of Ukraine's budgetary savings for 2019 would be used toward repaying and servicing its multibillion debt load. Prime Minister Volodymyr Groysman has estimated the foreign debt amount needed to be paid off over the next five years at $33 billion.
