MOSCOW (Pakistan Point News / Sputnik - 06th January, 2019) US National Security Adviser John Bolton said on Sunday that Turkey should not undertake military operations in Syria without an agreement with the United States.
"We don't think the Turks ought to undertake military action that's not fully coordinated with and agreed to by the United States, at a minimum so they don't endanger our troops, but also so that they meet the president's requirement that the Syrian opposition forces that have fought with us are not endangered," Bolton told reporters, as quoted by the NBC news.
He also added that the US troops would not pull out of Syria until Ankara guaranteed that it would not attack the Syrian Kurdish forces, according to NBC.
"There are objectives that we want to accomplish that condition the withdrawal," Bolton was quoted as saying.
In December, US President Donald Trump said that the US forces would pull out of Syria since the Islamic State terrorist group (banned in Russia) had been defeated there.
