The Russian state space corporation Roscosmos said in a statement on Saturday that it expected the US National Aeronautics and Space Administration (NASA) to provide official explanations on its position concerning a visit of a Russian delegation to the United States on the previously sent invitation.
MOSCOW (Pakistan Point News / Sputnik - 05th January, 2019) The Russian state space corporation Roscosmos said in a statement on Saturday that it expected the US National Aeronautics and Space Administration (NASA) to provide official explanations on its position concerning a visit of a Russian delegation to the United States on the previously sent invitation.
"Roscosmos expects NASA to provide official explanations on its position concerning organizing a response visit of the Russian delegation to the United States on the invitation that we have previously received," the statement read.
Roscosmos has not yet suspended its work toward formulating its negotiating position on the sides' cooperation on the International Space Station program and deep space, the corporation specified.
Late on Friday, the press secretary of NASA told Sputnik that the planned visit of Roscosmos head, Dmitry Rogozin, initially scheduled for February, would be postponed and a new date would be set later. On Saturday, a source in the rocket and space industry told Sputnik that the visit could be canceled.
This was supposed to be a response visit following a visit of a US delegation.
