Russia is trying to engage the United States in discussions on the Intermediate-Range Nuclear Forces (INF) Treaty and is now awaiting Washington's reaction to its proposals, Russia's Ambassador to the United States Anatoly Antonov told reporters on Friday.
WASHINGTON (Pakistan Point News / Sputnik - 29th December, 2018) Russia is trying to engage the United States in discussions on the Intermediate-Range Nuclear Forces (INF) Treaty and is now awaiting Washington's reaction to its proposals, Russia's Ambassador to the United States Anatoly Antonov told reporters on Friday."Russia is taking steps to involve its US partners in comprehensive dialogue on issues regarding the INF treaty and ways to resolve them," Antonov said. "Moscow's proposals are being revised by Washington. We are awaiting the response."
Antonov added that as far as the Russian government is aware, the United States has not made a final decision on a possible withdrawal from the Strategic Arms Reduction Treaty (START) Treaty.
