MOSCOW (Pakistan Point News / Sputnik - 26th December, 2018) Negotiations in the Astana format on Syrian settlement will be continued in Moscow in the nearest future, the Russian Foreign Ministry said Wednesday.
"The three guarantor countries of the Astana format [Russia, Iran and Turkey] maintain contacts via various channels. Meetings of the heads of states, as well as foreign and defense ministers are of particular importance, and interaction takes place on bilateral and trilateral basis. I can say that such contacts will continue as soon as possible, including in Moscow," the ministry's spokeswoman, Maria Zakharova, said at a briefing.
