MOSCOW (Pakistan Point News / Sputnik - 25th December, 2018) Moscow hopes those responsible for the terrorist attack on the ministerial building in Tripoli will be identified and punished, the Russian Foreign Ministry said on Tuesday.Earlier in the day, an explosive device was detonated near the Libyan Foreign Ministry. According to the country's Health Ministry, three people were killed and 10 others injured in the attack. No terrorist group has claimed responsibility for the attack so far.
"We strongly condemn this bloody action. We expect that its masterminds and perpetrators will be identified and duly punished," the ministry said in a statement.
The ministry added that such attacks by radical extremists, who seek to plunge Libya into absolute chaos and intimidate the population, would be unable to prevent the advancement of the political process in the country. Militants would also not succeed in undermining preparations for the general election, which should result in the formation of effectively operating institutions capable of putting an end to terrorism on Libyan soil.
