Russia tops the list of China's leading partners in terms of growth of bilateral trade, the Chinese Ministry of Commerce told Sputnik on Wednesday.
BEIJING (Pakistan Point News / Sputnik - 19th December, 2018) Russia tops the list of China's leading partners in terms of growth of bilateral trade, the Chinese Ministry of Commerce told Sputnik on Wednesday.
"Russia ranks first among the main trading partners of China [with regard to] dynamics of [trade] growth. China continues to be Russia's largest trading partner. In turn, Russia ranks the 10th among the largest trading partners of China, " the ministry said.
The Chinese Commerce Ministry noted that the two countries had reached a record annual turnover of $100 billion.
"Since the beginning of the year, significant progress has been made in practical Russian-Chinese cooperation, a breakthrough has been made in bilateral trade and economic relations, both quantitatively and qualitatively," the ministry underlined.
China-Russia trade between January and November increased by almost 28 percent year-on-year, amounting to $97.2 billion. China's exports to Russia over this period grew 12 percent to $43.45 billion, while imports from Russia rose 44 percent to $53.8 billion, according to the Chinese General Administration of Customs.
