A high-ranking delegation of the Israel Defense Forces (IDF) will pay a one-day visit to Moscow in order to inform Russian colleagues about the operation to neutralize the Hezbollah tunnel threat on the Lebanese border and discuss other pressing issues, the IDF press service said Monday.
TEL AVIV (Pakistan Point News / Sputnik - 10th December, 2018) A high-ranking delegation of the Israel Defense Forces (IDF) will pay a one-day visit to Moscow in order to inform Russian colleagues about the operation to neutralize the Hezbollah tunnel threat on the Lebanese border and discuss other pressing issues, the IDF press service said Monday.The Israeli army has launched Operation Northern Shield to expose and neutralize cross-border attack tunnels that Hezbollah dug from Lebanon into Israel.
"After phone talks between the Israeli Prime Minister and the Minister of Defense and the Russian President, a delegation of high-ranking officials from the Israel Defense Forces ... will depart for Moscow tomorrow at noon," the press service said in a statement.
The delegation is led by the Chief of IDF Operation's Directorate, Maj. Gen. Aharon Haliva.
