Russian Justice Ministry Received No Data From Anonymous Hacking Group - Press Service

MOSCOW (Pakistan Point News / Sputnik - 27th November, 2018) The Russian Justice Ministry has not received any data from the Anonymous hacking group on the UK-funded project on information counteracting Russia, the ministry's press service told Sputnik on Tuesday.

On Friday, the international hacktivist group Anonymous released documents related to the United Kingdom's Integrity Initiative project saying that the program had been launched in 2015 and was funded by the UK government. The hacktivist group claimed that the program was a "large-scale information secret service" created by London to "counteract Russian propaganda."

"The Russian Justice Ministry has not received the data of the Anonymous hacking group," the ministry's press service said.

The documents, published by Anonymous, showed that the Integrity Initiative's costs for the fiscal year ending on March 31, 2019, were estimated at 1.96 million Pounds ($2.51 million).

Notably, the list of participants of the Integrity Initiative's projects includes notorious financier William Browder and Vladimir Ashurkov, an associate of Russian opposition figure Alexei Navalny, according to the released documents.

Anonymous claimed that the Integrity Initiative included covert structures to interfere in domestic affairs of France, Germany, Italy, Greece, the Netherlands, Lithuania, Norway, Serbia, Spain, and Montenegro.

Konstantin Kosachev, the head of the Foreign Affairs Committee at Russia's upper house of parliament, told Sputnik that the information provided by the Anonymous hacker group about the covert actions of the UK intelligence services against Russia required a thorough investigation.
